Facepalm

The motion of a facepalm tells us the mood immediately. We know exactly what it means. At the same time, the figure holds a pose that clearly comes from physical strength and coordination. The body is engaged, controlled, and steady. Whatever led to the hand on his forehead did not wait for a convenient moment. Instead, his effort is interrupted by a sudden regret that adds weight rather than release.
